How to spot a rat
Rats can be found almost anywhere inside a property, especially in areas with food. They can be identified by the droppings left by them. Tracks can be seen in mud and on dusty surfaces. Runways and burrows may be found next to buildings, along fences or railroad tracks, and under low vegetation and debris. Rats are omnivorous, in that they are capable of eating anything, and have even been known to kill small pets when suitably starved. It is imperative that rats be controlled as soon as they are spotted, as their excrement can carry parasites and bacteria.
How we get rid of rats
In most cases, we employ traps that use a Warfarin-based poison. This is the best solution to remove rat infestations but should only be used by a trained pest controller under strict conditions. If a loved one or a pet consumed warfarin, even a small amount can create a serious problem. If however a client request a more humane removal of the rat problem we are able to carry out other techniques to suit.
